Glamourous and Lively

Blake Lively did a stunning shoot for the July Issue of this year's US GLAMOUR, aren't they just absolutely gorgeous? I had to share them with you!

This is my favourite! I love the way her hair looks with the outfit - so chic!

I could literally sit for hours watching Gossip Girl, just staring at the glamourous outfits and stunning style! Blair is definitely more my style icon, but Serena has some pretty awesome pieces too! The shoes in this image are a definite must-have!

So, it's the first day of my holiday and I have absolutely nothing on my to-do list, it feels a little weird but I'm loving every second!

Have a Spectacular Friday and a Relaxing weekend

A Frosting of Friendship

It's an odd feeling, knowing that today is the end of my week... odd, but oh so wonderful! I'm going to be counting down the minutes, no, the seconds until 5:30 today! I just hope that the next six days go as slowly as the minutes I have to count...

This bathroom is inspiring me to do some decorating in my week off. It looks beautiful and so inviting!

So, today, the thing that inspired me most, is my friend, Kim. You rarely find those friendships when you just automatically click with someone. Yesterday, Kim really touched my heart with her kindness and her compassion, I'm so lucky to have such an angel in my life and she has inspired me in so many ways.

Absolutely love the ruffles!

So, today, I'm going to take the opportunity to tell my friends how much I love them and thank them for being such a huge inspiration in my life.

My Nerd, Roxy, Pasci, Jussi, Lessi, Romy, Domi, Picaso, Avivi, Megs, Niamh, Heike, Kimmy B, Linds and  Kimmy M...

True friends are like fairytales, they have been there since once upon a time and they'll be there forever after... I am so lucky to have each of you in my life. Thank you for all the smiles, the laughs and for being there through thick and thin!

To each of you and to everyone who has added sunshine and magic to my life...
My wish for you is: comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunshine to warm your heart, hugs when your spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you're in doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth and love and happiness to complete your life!

Friendship isn't a big thing, it's a million little things

Friends are the most important ingredient in this recipe of life

Friends are the family we choose for ourselves

A true friend is someone who thinks you're a good egg, even though they know you're slightly cracked

The best friend, is the one you can sit on a porch swing with, not saying a word, and walk away afterwards feeling like it was the best conversation you ever had

The most beautiful discovery true friends make, is that they can grow separately, without growing apart

I mentioned that I wanted to bake a surprise cake during my little break, so, I have put together my very own recipe for a decadent friendship cake:

The Perfect Batter Ingredients:
3 cups of respect
2 handfuls of affection
2 equal amounts of sharing
5 teaspoons of humility

The Important Icing:
1 box of love
2 cups of integrity
3 teaspoons of care
1 tablespoon of kindness
A sprinkle of laughter

The Method:
Preheat the oven of love with lots of hugs and kisses
Mix together the ingredients and add understanding, smiles and laughter
Sift the mixture, leaving behind any traces of pride, greed or jealousy
Bake with love and care and all the things you share
Decorate generously with the frosting of trust

The secret ingredient: forgiveness

Do something special for your friends today just because you can

Happy Friendship Thursday

Lipstick and Lace

"If I'm honest, I have to tell you that I still read fairytales and I like them best of all"
~ Audrey Hepburn~

Another day filled with all things inspiring. This gorgeous wedding spread was featured in Russian Vogue! I had to share it with you –– C'est magnifique!

Being Lebanese, weddings are always very festive occasions filled with all things traditional ––family, friends, food, love and happiness–– and I absolutely adore them! From the beautiful dresses to the gorgeous decor and the fairytale ending!

I'm in love with this exquisite pearl top!

Sometimes right in the middle of an ordinary life, love hands us a fairytale!

I can't wait to plan a wedding, I actually wanted to be a wedding planner when I was little, I just love the all the detail–– making the invitations, deciding the colours, flower arrangements and dress fittings! It's all so magical and exciting!

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams!

I hope that today is a fairytale

Sea Shells and Sunshine

It's Tuesday morning, which means that it's one step closer to my fast approaching holiday! One whole week of relaxing, cleansing and rejuvenation and it all begins on Friday!

There are thousands of things I want to do in my week off and now I have the perfect opportunity to find the time to do them. So here is a list of a few of the things I hope to do:

Read a book
♔Smell the spring flowers
♔ Paint my dreams
♔ Have coffee with a friend
♔ Learn a new craft
♔ Write a letter
♔ Bake a surprise cake
♔ Go somewhere special
♔ REALLY spend time with the people I love
♔ Or even do nothing for a little while

Remember: Sometimes you have to stop thinking and go where your heart takes you

I'm going to go for walks on the beach and find somewhere to wear the beautiful dress I just bought from  Forever New!

I'm going to go to yoga and I'm going to drag Matanna with me :) and then, I'm going treat myself to a facial, manicure and haircut

I'm going to spend lots of time with my special Megs, before she leaves for Canada (and try and convince her that staying here for the year is a much better idea... :) ). I'm going to do something nice for a stranger with The Santa Shoebox Initiative and I'm going to catch up on lots and lots of sleep!

And all the while, I am going to remember the words of Mahatma Gandhi:
"Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behaviour. Keep your behaviour positive because your behaviour becomes your habits. keep your habits positive because your habits become your values and keep your values positive because your values become your destiny!"

Have a gorgeous Tuesday

Tickled Pink

It has been way too long since I last blogged! Time is just flying by and everything is so busy, but I promised myself, and Niamh, that today I would set aside some time to write about something that has inspired me these past few weeks. At first, I found it hard to decide what I wanted to write about and then I got to thinking about different things and the affect that they had on me. My mind settled on the colour pink...

In the words of Audrey Hepburn, "I believe in pink," and I believe in the way pink makes me feel: Happy!

These nude nail colours are simply stunning, just two coats of that and you are left feeling pampered and pretty.

I absolutely love these and I'm definitely going to have my own ones made! I always worry that one day someone will accidentally take my bag with all of my favourite clothes and accessories and shoes! I think these tags add a touch of fun and would definitely make me smile! Especially the "Hands Off" and "My clothes won't fit you" ones. I love it when people are creative and add their own personality into the things they do.

Carrousels!  One of my absolute favourite things... There is something so vintage about carrousels and I especially love the detailed and pretty ones, with gorgeous horses...

A little bite of heaven and it's pink! Can't get better than that!

Having been out of touch with my usual blogging habits has really made me realise how much blogging makes me smile. I think it is important to find the thing that inspires you and to share it with everyone around you. Writing is my favourite thing, it allows me to escape, makes me happy and I use it to express myself. I hope that you are inspired to find something that makes you happy and set aside some time to do a little bit each day –– it really is therapeutic.

I was reading one of the most amazing blogs, The Bottom of the Ironing Basket and one of the posts really made a impact on me, so I am going to share this wise advice with you:
Six Daily Happiness Exercises...

1. Always look on the bright side: If someone breaks a book that you lent them, think of it as a great excuse to buy a kindle –– Amazing new gadget, no more worry!

2. Meet a friend for breakfast, lunch or supper... or all three :) I have the most incredible friends in the world, each of them is inspirational in their own way, some with their words, some with their actions, some just by being in their presence. Be it 5 minutes of 5 days in their company, I never leave without feeling cheerful

3. Introduce the "Weekend Rule of Three": Now that I have to work Monday to Friday, I find that the weekends are my favourite time to just relax. But they are also the only time I get to spend lengthy periods of time chatting and catching up with my friends and family, so I tend to jam-pack them with events so that I can see everyone I haven't had time to see in the week! This often starts my new week off being rather lethargic. So, instead of making thousands of arrangements, just make three and take the rest of your weekend to do thing spontaneously

4. Joy Jolts: Ask a friend or someone who knows you really well, what they think makes you truly happy. Often someone else can pinpoint something you don't even realise

5. Spend time with your Three Happiest Friends: Happiness is contagious the more you are surrounded by happy people, the more it will rub off on you

6. My own step: Do something kind for someone else: Sometimes all it takes is a smile or a phonecall to make someone else's day happy and you'll end up feeling happier in yourself because you know you have done something good.

Mantra for the week: Be so happy that when others look at you, they can't help but feel happy too!!

Have a Beautiful Monday
