It's the Small Things in Life

It all started with a little smile and hearty giggle and it got me thinking; what is it in life that really matters? Sure, presents are great and being spoiled is fun, but in the end all that really matters are the words in a card, the love, the butterflies, the hugs and kisses, the smiles and the kindness—Those are the things that last, the Small Things that so many people take for granted— those are the memories that will never fade.

So here is a list of seven things that have made me happy today…

Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.

If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it.

A hug is a great gift - one size fits all, and it's easy to exchange.

I am absolutely obsessed with butterflies. I adore them! There is just something so beautiful and peaceful about a butterfly...

Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life.  And everyone deserves a little sunshine.

A kiss can be a comma, a question mark or an exclamation point.
~Jeanne Bourgeois~

Yesterday was just fabulous ~ I got to see three of my most incredible friends all in the space of one day. Isn't it just the best feeling in the world when you see your friend with a big smile across her face? I hadn't seen Megs and Aviv in what felt like forever, so to spend some time with them made my heart smile. Matanna made the most delicious supper and a spontaneous trip to the 24-hour Woolworths to indulge in some sweet treats added a little adventure into the mix...

The best feeling is being able to sit with a friend on the porch swing, never saying a word, and walk away after, feeling like it was the best conversation you ever had

A true friend is someone who thinks you're a good egg, even though they know you're slightly cracked

These are the seven wonders of the world, to me...
